MitFit gives general wellness information, not medical advice. AI can make mistakes. Always use proper tools and talk to a qualified professional before changing your diet, training or medication.
If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or take GLP-1 or other medication, consult your clinician about your targets.
MitFit is not a medical device
MitFit is designed to help you track food, activity and body changes for general wellness. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, monitor or prevent any disease or condition, and it does not replace a doctor, dietitian or other health professional. Never ignore professional advice or delay seeking it because of something you saw in MitFit.
Every number is an estimate
- Food and nutrients: calories, macros, micronutrients and portion sizes come from AI estimates, food databases, nutrition labels and what you enter. They can be wrong, especially for mixed dishes, sauces, oils and drinks.
- Energy burn: exercise and activity calories are calculated from standard formulas and your health app data, and are approximate.
- Targets: calorie, protein and other targets are calculated from general formulas, not from a clinical assessment of you.
- Scores: Nutri-Score, NOVA group, glycemic load, fullness, recovery and similar scores are general guides, not medical assessments.
- Device data: readings from phones, watches, scales and glucose monitors depend on those devices and may be delayed or inaccurate.
AI body analysis
Body analysis uses AI to estimate body fat percentage, body measurements, fat distribution, muscle definition, symmetry and posture from your photos. These are visual estimates, not measurements. They are not comparable to clinical methods such as DEXA scans or calipers and can change with lighting, clothing, pose, camera angle and distance. Use the same light and distance each time, and enter tape measurements to calibrate your results.
Posture readouts are general observations, not a diagnosis. If you have pain or a concern about your posture or spine, see a professional.
Visual age
Visual age is an entertainment estimate of how old you look in a photo. It does not measure your biological age, health or life expectancy. You can hide it in Settings.
Preserve · GLP-1 mode
The Preserve · GLP-1 mode is a tracking tool only. It helps you log food, protein, fluids, weight and strength while you are on a GLP-1 or similar medication. MitFit does not prescribe, dose, recommend or monitor any medication, and its intake and protein minimums are general guardrails, not personal medical advice. Follow the instructions of the clinician who prescribed your medication, and tell them about side effects or rapid weight loss.
Glucose and heart data
Glucose, heart rate and other readings imported from your health app are shown for information only. Glucose data may be delayed. Never use MitFit to make insulin, medication or other treatment decisions.
Talk to a professional first if you
- have a medical condition, such as diabetes, heart, kidney or liver disease;
- are pregnant, trying to get pregnant or breastfeeding;
- take medication, including GLP-1 medication, insulin or blood pressure medicines;
- have or have had an eating disorder;
- are under 18;
- plan a big change to your diet, a long fast or a new, intense training plan.
Stop exercising and get help if you feel chest pain, faintness, severe shortness of breath or dizziness.
If food, weight or exercise feels out of control
Tracking isn't right for everyone. If counting calories, weighing yourself or exercising starts to cause anxiety, guilt or obsession, or you're restricting, bingeing or purging, please take a break from tracking and reach out for support. You deserve help, and recovery is possible.
